Tobias Gierling

Tobias Gierling is the founder and owner of Combinado Consult. He is active in marketing, international communication and business development since more than 12 years, supporting small and medium sized companies, startups and trade and investment promotion agencies in accessing both German, Spanish and Latin American markets (Argentina, Chile, Costa Rica, Uruguay).

Prior to starting his business, Tobias worked as investment advisor at the Argentine Embassy in Berlin. Other professional positions include his time as public relations consultant and media analyst for German PR and media monitoring agencies, where he worked for national and international clients from different industry sectors such as renewable energies, energy efficiency and environmental technologies. Tobias studied Political Science and Economics at the Universities of Potsdam and Barcelona. Tobias is fluent in German, English and Spanish.

Since 2017 he supports the Start Up Energy Transition (SET) Award organized by the German Energy Agency (dena) in cooperation with the World Energy Council and was member of the reading jury.

In 2020 he also supported the clim@ competition, initiated by the Green for Growth Fund (GGF), as climate action ambassador.
