Gas Grids: a Key Enabler of the Energy Transition

January 19, 2021 2:00 PM CET REGISTER

Gas grids were invented to push forward the decarbonization of the global energy system. In order to eliminate carbon energy usage, renewable gases such as biogas or hydrogen from power-to-gas plants need to be integrated. Meanwhile, grid operators face a lot of challenges on this path, both in terms of gas appliances and correct billing for the energy supplied.

Thanks to the development of new equipment and digitized functionalities, the natural gas network is becoming a key enabler of the energy transition in many territories.

Join the presentation delivered by Mr. Edouard Sauvage, CEO of GRDF, the French natural gas distribution company.
